Dolores

This is a picture of a devil hugging my dad

Today I went to Dolores with my family. When we got there we went to a pottery shop. They had some very pretty pottery. After that we went to several ice cream stands. Once we got to the ice cream stands all of the people were saying try this one, try that one. I tried over ten flavors of ice cream on the plaza. After all of those testers I got a chocolate in a cone. I ate half of it and got so full that I had to throw it away. We walked to the mercado and saw over twenty ukeleles and about four violins. Upstairs there were all sorts and shapes of mirrors. Some of them were as big as a window. Enjoy the pictures!

Dolores

About two days ago my mom and a friend went to Dolores HGO. My mom took pictures of pottery, and a lot of devils. I think you will like the pottery a lot. Some of the devils scare me. Why I don't know. Maybe because of their faces ortheir bodys I don't know. My mom said the ice cream is realy good. She got chocolate ice cream yum, yum, yum. Here are some pictures. I hope you like them.

The Alters

One night ago my family went to go see all of the alters for Viernes De Dolores. In Mexico the alters are a very spirtual thing. We went to many houses and saw all of the alters. I thought they were very serious. When I went to one of the alters my friend Hadley was there. It was a suprise to see her there. The alter at my school was the biggest one I have ever seen out of all of them. By the time we got home it was very, very, very late and I was all tired out so I went to bed.

Salsa Dancing

Today, which is Thursday, I went to a salsa class and learnd how to dance salsa. There was a very, very, nice man who taught it . He taught us the basic movies. I was a little scared at first but I got through it. I never knew salsa classes were so fun. There were other people there too. My mom and dad did the class also. They did pretty good. During the last thirty or forty minutes my sister came in and danced with the teacher. He taught my sister all sorts of new moves. I have never seen the moves before. Then the class ended and I went home for a hour. Then at one o'clock I went back to the school and did a cooking class and during the class I got a very, very bad headache. The principal, Sarah, gave me some tylenol and I felt a little better. After I got the tylenol I went back to the mexican cooking and ate very delicious pozole, quesadillas, and for dessert I had key lime pie. After that was all over I walked home and took a nap.

Day at the Market

Yesterday I went to the market and saw all sorts of fruits, candies, pots and pans. We took a bus and it was very cramped and I felt claustrophobic but I made it there. On the way back we took a taxi and went home after that. Yesterday at the market I met an astrologer and she was a very nice woman. She lives not far from us. Today at around 3:30 ish my sister and I went to a museum called Bellas Artes and looked around. It had very pretty sculptures and things like that. After that we went down to the little cafe and got some goodies and drinks. It was such a cute little place; nice and quiet.

Chloe's Adventure

My family and I are in San Miguel. We just got here yesterday. San Miguel is a sweet and cute little place. I know that my family and I are going to have a bunch of fun here. My sister and I went on a walk today and passed a lot of shops and cute things. Jenna my sister took me on a walk and my legs were so sore in fact they are still so sore. When we were walking we passed a grocery shop that had any fruit you could imagie but we did not go in we just passed by. On our way home Jenna and I found the best ice cream shop and yogurt shop. It was called Santa Clara. It looked so good but my sister did not have any pesos so we could not go. After all of that walking we finally got to our street and I ran up our street as fast as I could and beat my sister Jenna. When we got inside the house I went on the roof there are a lot of things you can see in the roof like the church and the schools and other wonderful things. We have two roofs. One is located two feet away from my door the other one is located in the living room near my mom and dad's room. Our house is on a huge hill side. It is so hard to walk up and down our street you can't imagine. The church is about five blocks away from us and every morning the church bells ring about 18 times and gives me a head ache. Tomorrow I am going to Spanish school to learn more Spanish. Earlier today we went into this cute shop and saw a kitten. The kitten was black and fuzzy. I just wanted to take it home, it was too cute.

For the record, the walk was Chloe's idea! Love, *Jenna :) Today which is Monday. I woke up at 7:30 ish and went to a spanish school and learned a lot of new things. At first I felt scared but I got over it quickly. After my spanish class I went with another lady and she took me into a room and we reviewed all the fruits and vegetables and things you eat and that is pretty much all I have to say. Yesterday I went to the market and saw all sorts or fruits and candies pots and pans. We took a bus and it was very cramped and I felt claustrorhobic but I made it there. On the way back we took a taxi and went home after that. Pictures of the market are coming ery very soon
